“You can’t quarantine love” — the mantra of Richard & Nikki’s wedding.
Their original wedding plans were completely derailed by Covid-19, but they just hopped another track and kept on going. Their wedding 2.0 took place 2 blocks from their home in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, Ca. They set up proper social distancing stations for their small handful of guests, as well as two cameras to host 100+ virtual guests through Zoom. There was mezcal & burritos, masks & air hugs. And it was perfect. Just, perfect.

Charles & Winnie celebrated 30 years of marriage with a blustery photo shoot with yours truly.

One week ago today, I shot the last wedding of my 10th wedding season. And I’m feeling quite accomplished. I’ve always said that ending the year on a high note is SO important – it sets the tone for your off season, and writes the preamble for the season to come. That being said, I couldn’t have DREAMED a better wedding to end with. From the minute I met these two for their engagement shoot last spring, I knew we were about to make some serious magic together. And I couldn’t have been more right.
