When I was 18 years old, I got a job waiting tables at a local pizza joint. Little did I know that 3 years of serving breadsticks and pepperoni pizza alongside this handsome fella would lead me to this day: the day he married the light of his life.
And boy did he pick a good one. Kassie is a kindred spirit for CERTAIN: complete with Harry Potter nerdery and thick rimmed glasses. Meeting her was like looking into some strange parallel universe.
This job of mine never ceases to blow my mind. It’s proof that the connections we make throughout our life — no matter how small or seemingly insignificant at the time become a part of our path forever. And what a beautiful journey it is.

My actual job description is to be invited into the small and sacred spaces of another human’s story, to bear witness to the energy exchange between bodies and souls, to listen first and document second. And the magic of << ALL THAT << is far from lost on me.

If you’ve been around my blog before, you might know I get REAL emotional when it comes to my first and last weddings of each year. And this year, kicked off my 11th wedding season with these two beautiful humans. And it was PERFECT. Some people may not categorize rain on a wedding day as “perfect”… but seeing as I’m a water sign and a pluviophile by nature — adding rain to anything is my definition of perfection. Because a story with a random rain storm during the ceremony is always more exciting than one without, wouldn’t you agree? If you don’t believe me, see for yourself….

I don’t think we stopped laughing from the moment we met for lunch before their session until the sun sunk into the ocean. In fact, I may or may not have found myself collapsed in the dirt at least twice. I already can’t wait for their wedding for another dose of belly laughs.
