The Leader Family | San Francisco Family Photographer

I first met Nick & Courtney when they were members of a wedding party and I was 4 months postpartum photographing the wedding with Phoenix in an ergo carrier. Fast forward a couple years, to their first pregnancy, when they found themselves in need of a photographer themselves. It’s now been 6 years since they first invited me into their home to document their first daughter, and I never could have seen the friendship that would grow from that encounter. Maybe it’s the last name we share, maybe it’s kismet, maybe it’s a little of both — but I am so obsessed with this little family. So when they made plans to move out of San Francisco and wanted to document their favorite things about the city they called home for so many years, I was over the moon to tag along for the ride.

The way these girls light up when I walk in the door, ask me to brush their hair, introduce me to their stuffies, and request that I be the one to read their bedtime story — fills my heart to bursting. This is why I do what I do. Why I’ll never stop. For the amazing people and relationships I gather along the way, the ones who keep me around to document their love story in every season.

Jenkin Family | Lifestyle Family Photographer

Last year, I introduced a new kind of seasonal portrait special — “Winter at Home,” where we spend 45-60 minutes documenting what your family looks like just BEING at home on a Winter morning.
There is no posing, no cheese-ing, no “sit still and look at Sarah!”ing. Just, being.

For the month of February only, I’m offering in-home sessions for a discounted price of $500. Book your Winter at Home session by emailing me today!

Lyric | San Luis Obispo In-Home Family Photographer

There is something so incredibly special about photographing a family in their own home. Especially with Littles.
The arrival of a new brother or sister can be a lot for a wee older sibling, so it’s so powerful for them to have a safe and familiar space to retreat to when feeling big feelings.

My time with the Venia family embodied everything I dream an in-home family session to be: the good stuff real life is made of.
Documenting Canyon’s new role as big brother, Lyric’s “I just got here” vibe, and even their sweet pup’s “I still matter!” presence — each piece so precious and important to this beautiful family’s every-evolving story.

The Gomes Family | Templeton, CA

How many things can I say about how much I adore the Gomes family? Lindsey wandered into my life 13 years ago and our lives and businesses were never the same.
A lot has changed since that coffee date all those years ago — and we’ve documented every little piece of it for one another the entire way.

This family is SO special to me. And this blue eyed boy turns ONE on Friday.
Life’s a trip.

The Ayers Family – Templeton, CA

I have known Kati & Wyatt long before they became parents. We’re talking middle school, guys. And I can safely say that when I think “Parent Goals”, I think of them. They are raising some of the sweetest, silliest, unique, and strong girls you will ever come across. I am so blessed to have Kati in my mom-tribe, and am so damn lucky that she only lives 3 doors away.

Now, if you know this little family, you know that they are not the “sit over there and say cheese” type.
Cue the popcorn fights, squish-squash-apple-sauce, trampoline tricks, and family gardening…….

Based in San Luis Obispo and traveling the globe documenting destination weddings, elopements, and stories of all kinds. Inspired by love, light, heartache, and all the things that make us human.
