My little brother is becoming a father.
Words I don’t think I’d ever get to say.
The same kid I’d drive around town in my ’95 VW Golf, go to screamo shows, and do random photo shoots with when we were teenagers.
Is having a kid of his own. And I am a mess of feels.
Next month, this stunning goddess will give birth to my nephew.
I am so excited to enter into a new season of life with my brother and his beautiful fiancé, as they join the parenthood club, and we grow closer over ALL THE THINGS.
But mostly I can’t wait to smell his sweet little head and nibble on his tiny little toes.
Oh, Waylon Peter, we cannot wait to meet you.
If we’ve learned anything as a collective these last 2 years, it’s to never take the ability to celebrate with our loved ones for granted EVER AGAIN.
Sarah & Theresa may have eloped to Las Vegas just the two of them, but still wanted to party down with their loved ones…. just a few months later. There was laughter, there was dancing, there was dice. And it was magic.

When I first met Tyler & Olivia for their engagement session, I never could have guessed that I would be following them to Costa Rica seven months later.
I’ve photographed hundreds of beautiful weddings in my 13 years, but when I beheld the ceremony site overlooking miles of Costa Rican coastline — I was a puddle of gratitude and awe. I’d never seen or experienced anything like it. From the epic view to the florals that looked like they’d been plucked right out of Avatar — I was in heaven. And then you have Tyler & Olivia — a photographer’s dream, the tender way they look at one another, like they are the only ones in the room.
I am so grateful to have met these two, and that they connected so deeply with my work that they brought me all the way to Costa Rica to document this epic piece of their love story.

I am over the moon to be making the transition to exclusively photographing intimate weddings from here on out. Whitney & Oliver’s wedding was the perfect reminder that I am making the right decision, letting go of large weddings — the energy is precious, the celebration more potent, and time for the important portraits makes my heart sing.
