Once upon a time, I myself found out I was pregnant with a surprise miracle baby who, sadly, forced me to cancel several of my wedding contracts.
Mikey & Fiona‘s wedding was one of those weddings. But no, they just wouldn’t have it. So what did they do? They CHANGED THEIR WEDDING DATE, just so that I could be their photographer. And my heart exploded. My daughter, Phoenix, was 5 months old when they got married. And she totally crashed their wedding (I even have a photo of Fiona in her wedding dress, holding Phoenix. And a video of me photographing their sparkler exit carrying Phoenix on my chest).
Needless to say — I am DEEPLY connected to this beautiful couple. And it feels so full circle that she is now growing her own miracle inside her womb.
I am a puddle of gratitude, and cannot wait to meet this precious baby boy.

If you haven’t already heard, I’ve switched to exclusively photographing intimate weddings (50 guests or less… with an exception here or there).

Believe me when I say, it’s just as important to document your love story 10 years down the road as it is on the day you are married. If not even more so.

I first met Sam 15 years ago when we worked together at a coffee house in our home town. It blows my mind how life puts you on a path, which intertwines with other paths, leads away from those paths, and then brings them back together again. Just a beautiful reminder that we are all connected.
