My job is for sure giving me the deepest of laugh lines, because of couples like Richard & Nicole.
And I’m not mad about it. Not one bit.
Can’t wait for their Holly Farm wedding in Mayyyyyy!

If Travis & Andrea’s engagement shoot is any sort of omen as to how my 2018 wedding season is going to be — I’m STOKED about it.
This is my last official “work” blog post of 2017. It’s been real, but now I’ve got eggnog to drink and presents to wrap 🙂
Carolyn first emailed me in January of 2016. Over the past year and a half, we have exchanged over 100 emails and text messages, she sent me a care package when I was pregnant, and then again when Phoenix was born. But it wasn’t until Thursday of last week that I finally got to see this couple face to face. And the reunion was everything I dreamed it would be – complete with slow running from across the wedding venue (mostly because Carolyn’s shoes wouldn’t allow her to walk any faster).
I know I’ve said it a million times, but it’s true so I’ll say it again: I book the most AMAZING couples. I am so blessed to have met these two and captured their wedding just a few short days after we got together for their engagement shoot (so stay tuned for that beautiful-ness).
I rarely get to meet my couples before they sign on the dotted line, securing me as the official documenter of their wedding day. And as I stood outside the Carmel Mission, waiting for Rahul and Alexia, with no clue what they looked like, I realized that THAT is kind of amazing. People book me based on vibes felt through emails and phone calls, and those vibes have been correct 100% of the time. Never have I met with a couple for their engagement shoot and thought, “Nope. We were wrong. The vibes failed us.” Instead, I manage to book kindred spirits – good-hearted, kind people who value storytelling and genuine emotion (and a sense of humor to boot). These two were no exception.
these beautiful kids are getting married in 3 weeks.
it was high time we met.
as if their poppin-bottles, instax-taking-ness wasn’t enough proof. the nonstop quoting of How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days sealed the deal — we’re going to get along JUST FINE.
