Allison Lorne | Witchy Women’s Health

There once was a goddess with magic hands.
Hands that glowed when other women came near.
They pulsed with a magic that promised healing & peace.
With every woman she touched, every beat of her drum, a ripple spread through the world.
A ripple that would change everything.

If you are a woman seeking healing of any kind — heart, body, spirit — you can find it HERE.
She offers a safe place to process, feel, heal and reshape everything you know about the phases of womanhood.
I’m so grateful to have met this beautiful creature, and can’t wait to continue working with her in all capacities.

Warrior Goddess | San Simeon Outdoor Boudoir

There once was a goddess who’s life was threatened.
In the span of a phone call, her world came crashing down.
Through ringing ears and blurry vision, she heard words like “cancer” and “double mastectomy.”
“Yes,” she said. “Whatever it takes to stay here with my babies,” she said.
So, with a prayer on her lips, she planted her bare feet in the soil, threw her face to the sky,
and began to shed her skin, never to be the same again.

Persephone Unleashed | Whidbey Island, WA

Five years and thirteen retreats ago, I never could have dreamed I would find myself half-naked in a PNW forest getting a dose of my own medicine.
Five years and thirteen retreats ago, I felt small and alone and thought maybe other women felt the same way and would like a safe place to practice taking up space, to be fully seen, heard & celebrated.
Five years and thirteen retreats ago, I never could have seen all this coming — that I would travel to Whidbey Island with a small group of women, in search of what ‘Wild’ means to us.
Five years and thirteen retreats ago, I was a wholly different woman.

Putting each retreat into a blog post is especially hard, because it is physically impossible to describe, explain, or show you what unfolded in these 5 days.
I cannot put into words, the metamorphosis I witnessed in these women, the grief that was processed, the old beliefs that were shed, the rebirth that was claimed.
But I do know the power of photographs, how they can transport you to a moment, even if you weren’t even there when the moment happened. So here we go.

On the fourth weekend of the fifth month of this year, we journeyed to Whidbey Island off the coast of Washington.
Amidst the cedar, fir & wysteria we shared conversation, laughter, and tears.
We shed our layers (literally), adorned our bodies with color, and created works of art using our own skin.
We gathered around a table, clinked glasses, taked story, and nourished our bodies.
We danced like animals, shook our tail feathers, and sat in meditative council with our guides.
We stepped outside comfort zones, and found it not nearly as scary as we thought.
We hugged trees, danced barefoot, and laughed till our bellies were sore.
And we were never the same

San Luis Obispo Boudoir Photographer | Pirates Cove, California

I often get asked by my boudoir clients, “Your online portfolio is beautiful, but if I’m being honest, I’m wanting something a little spicier. Do you do that??”
The answer is YES. A million times yes. My heart will always be about making women feel safe enough to let their claws out and embrace the sexpot they inherently are.
But, as you can imagine, most women choose to keep such imagery private.

I’m so grateful to this goddess for allowing me to share a glimpse into her session, where she got to be 1000% herself — pirates and all.
Oh, and the best part? HER MOM WAS WITH US THE WHOLE TIME.  Women are so amazing.
