Something about me — I believe in the law of attraction: the energy and intention you emanate into the world will eventually be returned to you.
Eight years ago, I worked on a personal photography project, where I wanted to capture the essence of makers and artists of all kinds. I don’t know how this creatrix, Hallie, wandered into my orbit, but by no accident, she did. I had the honor of photographing her painting process for my project, and we connected on a deep level that felt nothing short of kismet. We’ve stayed in touch and followed each other’s journeys ever since.
Hallie & Jesse’s wedding was the manifestation of a dream I forgot I had ever dreamed. It was adventure and vulnerability, it was sparkly boots and tarot cards, it was emotionalism in its rawest form. And I was bestowed the highest honor of documenting it. Their wedding was two parts — a first day was an intimate and meaningful ceremony/celebration with their nearest and dearest, the second day was a 4 hour adventure around Yosemite Valley with just the two of them and a couple cameras (myself and Chris Tack).
Between a precious first look with Hallie’s mama, the most intentional ceremony I’ve ever born witness to, and the emotional vibrations of Hallie & Jesse’s first dance — it’s safe to say eyes weren’t dry for long throughout the whole day. And yet my face still hurts from smiling.
Thank you, more please, dear Universe.
