Hi. I'm Sarah.
I live with one foot in this world and the other in a world very much of my own making. As a child, my bedtime stories existed in lands like Narnia and Middle Earth. My imagination was raised to run wild as the wind. I can often be found with my nose in a book, toes in the sand, or having a tea party with my daughter.
Some fun facts about me: I hate wearing shoes, drink an average of 4 cups of tea per day, wear a LOT of black, quote movies like it's my job, sing at the top of my lungs or not at all, met the love of my life when I was 11 years old, we played in a band together, got married at 19, and had a miracle baby named Phoenix.
I am: a dreamer, a mother, a wanderer, a rain-dancer, a writer, a wine-drinker, a yogi, a singer, an ocean-air-breather, and a storyteller. I've been taking photos for as long as I can remember (if you want to get specific, I got my first 35mm film camera when I was 8 years old). I've been telling stories for as long as I can remember. I've been dreaming BRILLIANTLY for as long as I can remember. I believe there is both darkness and light inside all of us, and each piece is just as beautiful and important as the other.

A day in the life of a working mother & winemaker 🍷
Earlier this year, I had the honor of shadowing @ruakhwines for a full day — documenting the raw, beautiful truth of her world. On our very first call, she told me she wanted images unlike any other wine label. No cheese boards. No cliché “cheers” moments.
Yes, she wanted bottle shots — but styled in a way that made her tasting notes feel alive.
Yes, she wanted vineyard photos — but she also wanted her truck to be there: her office, her sanctuary, the place she can scream, cry, breathe, or just be when she needs to.
This might be one of my favorite branding shoots to date. Not only because the images hit all the senses, but because Sam trusted me with the real, unfiltered parts of her life. While I styled bottles in her kitchen, she was in the living room juggling motherhood, emails, and the invisible weight working moms carry every day.
These are the stories I want to tell — the ones that peel back the curtain and quietly dismantle the idea that being a woman, an entrepreneur, and a mother (often at the same time) isn’t the most badass thing in the world.
