There are times when I take a look at my life and wonder how I got here.
i. am. so. BLESSED.
A couple weekends ago, my (kickass) job took me to Tincup, Colorado – a tiny little camp-town in the middle of breathtaking nowhere. I was then adopted for the day into one of the most darling families I’ve ever met. Gracie and Carey were married in same town hall her parents shared vows in exactly 30 years ago, and celebrated late into the night at the family cabin where Gracie spent her summers growing up.
The day seemed like something from a dream: from the on-and-off tiny rainstorms to the insanely gorgeous 360-view, from the plethora of animal skulls to the engagement photo placemats, from a surprise song by Gracie’s little brother at the beginning of the ceremony to shotgunning beers during the reception (Gracie didn’t let her wedding gown stop her from keeping her title of all-time-winner, oh no).
I could seriously write a novel about how honored I am to have been a witness to such a magical day, how enamored I am with their family’s fierce love for one another, and how much I LOVE WHAT I DO….. but instead, I will just let you live out their wedding story through my eyes. And quite the story it turned out to be.
