One year ago, I woke up at 6am to a text message from my dear friend and photography cohort, Sabrina Klomp. It was an SOS. She had been stricken with food poisoning and was supposed to be photographing a wedding that day. This is why we have a village — to call for aid when we are in trouble. Sabrina had been there for me through many a quarry, and I was grateful to be able to show up for her in dire straights.
That wedding was George & Melissa’s (which you can see over on Sabrina’s blog, if you’d like).
And for their one year anniversary, I got to hang out with them on the Cambrian cliffs and do it all over again. Life is beautiful that way.

Believe me when I say, it’s just as important to document your love story 10 years down the road as it is on the day you are married. If not even more so.

This girl is my sister.

Sam & Stephanie got married back in February, right before the world got turned upside down.

I first met Sam 15 years ago when we worked together at a coffee house in our home town. It blows my mind how life puts you on a path, which intertwines with other paths, leads away from those paths, and then brings them back together again. Just a beautiful reminder that we are all connected.
