Christina & Jeremy – Santa Barbara Intimate Wedding

Jeremy & Christina were married on the Spring Equinox, in the rain, surrounded by 30 of their closest family and friends.

We met for the first time on the steps of the Santa Barbara Courthouse for some cozy, rainy day photos. After a bucket of laughs and just the right amount of rain, we headed back to their vacation rental for their intimate wedding ceremony set against a backdrop of menacing dark clouds. Just as they “jumped the broom” and officially became mister & missus, the skies opened up and poured it’s celebration and support all over the place. The whole day was magical to say the least, and I want to do ALL the rainy day weddings forever.

The Gomes Family – Elowen’s Half Birthday

I was there for her birth, her newborn photos, and now her half-birthday photos. This little lady has stolen my heart at a pace only paralleled by her birthright-bestie (my own daughter).

It only took 5 1/2 months of co-motherhood for us to get a photo of us with our girls. But we finally did it.

Vanessa & Jonathan – California Engagement Photos

I make a lot of my decisions about people based on their sense of humor and capability of belly-laughs.
I don’t know if I’ve ever met a couple who laughed as much during their engagement photos as these two, which leads me to believe we are going to get along juuuuuust fine.

Kodi & Gabrielle – Intimate Wedding – Cambria, CA

One never knows quite what they’re walking into when arriving to a wedding every weekend. Energy is always running high amidst the aroma of hair spray and mimosas. But the energy in Gabrielle’s hotel room was different than I had ever felt. You see, this beautiful bride had suffered the inexplicable tragedy of a miscarriage that very morning. As a wedding photographer, I speak the language of story – and every love story asks to be told in it’s own unique way. This was a love story I had never run into before — the love story between parents and their unborn child, buried in the cliffside with a forever view of the Pacific Ocean. If there is one thing I have learned as a storyteller, it’s that life is messy. But as the late, great Leonard Cohen sang, “There is a crack, a crack in everything. That’s how the light gets in.”

Based in San Luis Obispo and traveling the globe documenting destination weddings, elopements, and stories of all kinds. Inspired by love, light, heartache, and all the things that make us human.
