Light Goddess | Outdoor Boudoir Photographer

There once was a Goddess of Light.
She knew how to soak in it’s golden brilliance,
and how to dance in it’s shadow side.
It was in between the two places,
where it was easiest to get lost.
But she always found her way back again.
In truth, she was a traveler,
a light seeker on a pilgrimage to discover
new beauty within the Light’s waves.

Goddess of the Sea | Santa Barbara Boudoir

There once was a goddess sailing the open sea.
A storm had just capsized her boat, sweeping everything she held dear overboard.
She lashed together the shattered pieces of her vessel,
And stood strongly to face the wind.
The wind arrived at her back, holding her steady,
Aiding her journey forward.
The ocean gathered around her feet,
a beast tamed to its mistress.
“Onward,” it whispered.
So Onward she went.

(Unrelated to this beautiful Sea Goddess and her story, as of today there is one available space at my upcoming Persephone Unleashed Retreat next month! I cannot wait to see who the space is meant for. Because I have no doubt in my mind it belongs to someone very tired, very special, and much in need of a reconnect.)

Ocean Goddess – San Luis Obispo Boudoir

There once was a goddess with hair the color of burning embers.
Not many ocean goddesses could live with such fire, but she could.
You see, the two elements were often at odds and one would always destroy the other.
But this burning beauty had learned to dance with her adversity, instead of submitting to it.
And dance, she will.

“When you’re brave, you empower others around you to be brave too” – Unknown

^ THAT ^ could not be more true when it comes to this beautiful goddess. She contacted me about doing a bare session to celebrate her upcoming wedding, and shortly after emailed me again telling me her best friend wanted to join the boudoir party TOO. We spent the day hanging out, laughing and drinking champagne as they took turns in front of the camera — encouraging and cheering one another on from behind the scenes. It was SO FUN.

“Maybe the journey isn’t so much about becoming anything. Maybe it’s about un-becoming everything that isn’t really you, so you can become who you were meant to be in the first place.” – Paulo Coehlo
