Brian & Emily - Westin St. Francis Hotel - San Francisco Wedding

One week ago today, I shot the last wedding of my 10th wedding season. And I'm feeling quite accomplished. I've always said that ending the year on a high note is SO important - it sets the tone for your off season, and writes the preamble for the season to come. That being said, I couldn't have DREAMED a better wedding to end with. From the minute I met Brian & Emily for their engagement shoot last spring, I knew we were about to make some serious magic together. And I couldn't have been more right.

Brian proposed to Emily on a rooftop overlooking the city, so it is only right that they vowed their hearts to one another on the top floor of the Westin St. Francis on Union Square. I don't think that room has seen a celebration like theirs, EVER. The space was filled to the brim with laughter and the sound of clinking glasses, and that was BEFORE the dance party tore the roof off the place.

Here.... just see for yourself....

Jesse, Stephanie & Olivia - Rainy Day Family Photos

First comes LOVE,
Then comes MARRIAGE,
Then comes a BABY in a baby carriage.
Then comes Sarah with her camera to ALL OF THESE THINGS.

I get to be a part of the biggest transitions in a couple's life. And it never ceases to blow my mind.

Daniel & Megan - Holland Ranch Wedding, San Luis Obispo

I didn't meet Daniel & Megan until the day before their wedding, when we got together for their engagement session. But instantly I could tell that they might be two of the most chill people on the planet. The next day, when their sweet dog ran up and jumped on Megan's wedding dress, and she didn't bat an eye -- I knew my instincts had been correct. As if Megan's vivacious mermaid hair and Daniel's velvet jacket weren't eye-candy enough, their chemistry and "I can't get enough of you. EVER"-ness made for a wedding photographer's dream come true.

Max & Sarah - Villa Montara Wedding

I first met Max when we were both 16 years old, in our awkward teenage prime. He loved silly adventures, make believe, and had a sense of humor unlike anyone I had encountered in my short life -- therefore, we were fast friends. Fast forward 12 years -- we lost touch somewhere after high school, and since then so much of life has happened to both of us. Max moved to Japan and became a teacher, where one spring under the cherry blossoms, he met Sarah. And as the fate would have it, I had since become a wedding photographer -- bringing our paths to cross once again. The universe is quite the snarky, mischievous gal.

And so, Max & Sarah were married surrounded by salty sea air and the closest of their friends & family. She wore her grandmother's dress & crown, and he couldn't peel his eyes off her for a moment. The day couldn't have been more perfect - cozy overcast vibes during the day, with a sunset that set my heart on fire.

Cesar & Carly - Walnut Creek Wedding

Ever wondered what it would be like to attend a wedding in a sauna? I hadn't. But I now know nonetheless.
Despite high temperatures and humidity unfamiliar to most California natives, Cesar and Carly threw the fanciest party her parents' backyard will ever see.

| Caterer: Fogcutter Catering | Band: Retro Jukebox Band | Rentals: Pleasanton Rentals |
