Brian & Emily - Westin St. Francis Hotel - San Francisco Wedding

One week ago today, I shot the last wedding of my 10th wedding season. And I'm feeling quite accomplished. I've always said that ending the year on a high note is SO important - it sets the tone for your off season, and writes the preamble for the season to come. That being said, I couldn't have DREAMED a better wedding to end with. From the minute I met Brian & Emily for their engagement shoot last spring, I knew we were about to make some serious magic together. And I couldn't have been more right.

Brian proposed to Emily on a rooftop overlooking the city, so it is only right that they vowed their hearts to one another on the top floor of the Westin St. Francis on Union Square. I don't think that room has seen a celebration like theirs, EVER. The space was filled to the brim with laughter and the sound of clinking glasses, and that was BEFORE the dance party tore the roof off the place.

Here.... just see for yourself....

Chris & Kim - Montana De Oro, CA - Engagement Photos

She walked into a bar in Paris, struck up conversation with a stranger, who co-incidentally would turn out to be the love of her life.
If that's not the makings for a magical love story, I QUIT.

Jesse, Stephanie & Olivia - Rainy Day Family Photos

First comes LOVE,
Then comes MARRIAGE,
Then comes a BABY in a baby carriage.
Then comes Sarah with her camera to ALL OF THESE THINGS.

I get to be a part of the biggest transitions in a couple's life. And it never ceases to blow my mind.

Michael & Sarah - Cayucos Engagement Photos

There is nothing like going through photos from a couple's engagement session and realizing you're smiling like an idiot because their joy is contagious through digital pixels on a computer screen.

The Willette Family, Kauai

Fact: I LOVE that my job doesn't always end after documenting a couple's wedding day.

Carey & Gracie were married 3 years ago in the tiny town of Tincup, Colorado.
Now they have an adorable almost-2-year-old named August. So much has changed, but it still manages to rain any time we get together for photos (the very last photo here gives me all of the deja vu vibes).
