My time with Jacob & Kelly started with delicious cocktails and ended with the most magical golden hour I've ever experienced. The middle was filled with adoring glances and lots of laughter. This is the true essence of why I love what I do.
Truth be told, I LOVE shooting in the wind. A little weather can't scare me, especially when I have a couple like Emily & Carly in front of my lens. Not only are they easy on the eyes, but the fluid way they move around one another and love each other is natural and beautiful as breathing.
I rarely get to meet my couples before they sign on the dotted line, securing me as the official documenter of their wedding day. And as I stood outside the Carmel Mission, waiting for Rahul and Alexia, with no clue what they looked like, I realized that THAT is kind of amazing. People book me based on vibes felt through emails and phone calls, and those vibes have been correct 100% of the time. Never have I met with a couple for their engagement shoot and thought, "Nope. We were wrong. The vibes failed us." Instead, I manage to book kindred spirits - good-hearted, kind people who value storytelling and genuine emotion (and a sense of humor to boot). These two were no exception.
Thanks to these lovebirds, Phoenix got to go on her first airplane last week.
Now, I LOVE California landscapes. But shooting with these Colorado colors, views, and light -- A DREEEEEEAM.
Oh, and Rick & Kelly might be the cutest thing things baby's bottoms (and I would know).
